Sun Chasers

By April everyone in the Northwest is itching to see some sun, but it is still quite illusive.  This year for spring break we wanted to stay close but ensure that we would be able to enjoy the outdoors and sunshine.  We decided to book a cabin at Black Butte Ranch near Sisters, Oregon where we would be likely to see the blue sky and sunshine.  It was a great little spot and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.  We were able to:

Enjoy the small town of Sisters during their music & art stroll weekend,

The Sorks with the Storks at the Sculpture Gallery in Sisters
Meet a master clock maker and help him finish his puzzle while we waited to hear all the clocks chime on the hour,

Play some family games, swim and hike,

Hiking to the headwaters of the Metolius River
Read and get plenty of rest.

Huckleberry milkshakes makes everyone smile!
Our stay there was too short and we are already looking for some time in the summer we can go back.
