With Tanner off to college, we weren't quite sure what to do with the new vacant space he left. We were content to let it sit, but had the opportunity to upgrade his twin bed to a queen bed, which sent the house into a whole jumble of switching rooms to make the beds fit.
I think McKenna got the sweetest end of the deal. Besides moving from her full size bed to a queen size bed, she also got to re-decorate her whole room. It was a good project for her and she learned a lot about budgeting, painting, altering/sewing and re-furbishing.

McKenna's Room |
As you can imagine, Austin didn't think that being the biggest kid in the house, but sleeping in the smallest bed (the one and only twin left in the house) was fair. We thought it was quite funny to see him sleeping crooked with his feet hanging off the end, but agreed with him, so we bumped Carson to Austin's room. Of course, Carson didn't like that at all and let us all know it, especially since he and mom had just redecorated his room together for his birthday a year ago. There was no way he was happy to leave his jungle themed room behind, so out came the paint and sewing machine, again, as we played "switcheroo."

Carson will tell you he got the bum end of the deal - moving to the smaller bed and the smaller room, but I think Tanner did. By the time I had redone all three rooms my cretive genius was wiped out and I just put all McKenna's old stuff into his room. When Tanner comes home he will be in his room, but it is all McKenna's old decor:

Tanner's Room - LOL! |
Yellow walls, a princess bed with pink and yellow ruffled bedding, dresses hanging on the wall and a vanity. I guess that is assurance that he will want to go back to college after Christmas!
